Last updated: 19/08/2025

This Privacy Policy describes how 99TimeTech (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use the LiveRecognition Android application (the “App”). By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

  • Data Controller/Provider: 99TimeTech
  • Address: Alexandria, Egypt
  • Contact Email: info@1topsystems.com

Information We Collect

Depending on your configuration and how you use the App, we may collect the following categories of information:

1) Account and Profile Information

  • Identifiers: name, username, employee ID, organization/unit, email, phone number.
  • Credentials: authentication tokens or hashed credentials provided by your organization.

2) Biometric and Media Data

  • Facial templates and images: captured via the device camera for identity verification/attendance (processed using on-device recognition technologies such as FSDK). We do not sell biometric data.
  • Audio/voice samples: used for voice-based features (e.g., voice recognition) when enabled.
  • Photos and documents: images you capture or upload in workflows (e.g., reports, audits, inventory).

3) Location and Sensor Data

  • Geolocation: precise or approximate location for location-based features (e.g., attendance, routes, site check-in, maps). Location collection may occur in the foreground and, if configured, in the background to support specific features required by your organization.
  • Device sensors: data from camera, microphone, NFC, Bluetooth, or similar Android sensors used to enable feature workflows.

4) App, Device, and Usage Data

  • Device information: device model, OS version, app version, language/locale, mobile network information.
  • Log data: diagnostics, crash logs, performance metrics.
  • Usage data: feature interaction events and timestamps necessary to deliver services and for security/audit purposes.

How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

  • Provide core functionality: user authentication, identity verification (face/voice), attendance/time tracking, task and workflow execution, auditing, printing, QR/NFC workflows, and other features configured by your organization.
  • Enable location-based services: site check-in/out, route management, map features, geo-compliance and safety.
  • Communicate: send push notifications and service messages (e.g., via Firebase Cloud Messaging) about activity, approvals, and system events.
  • Security and integrity: fraud prevention, access control, suspicious activity detection, and audit trails.
  • App maintenance: diagnostics, debugging, crash analysis, performance monitoring, and feature improvement.
  • Legal and compliance: to meet contractual obligations and applicable laws/regulations.

Legal Bases (EEA/UK users)

Where GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases:

  • Performance of a contract (to deliver the App features your organization requests).
  • Legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, product improvement) balanced against your rights.
  • Consent (e.g., enabling optional features like background location or biometrics where required by law). You may withdraw consent at any time via device or in-app settings.
  • Legal obligation (complying with regulatory requirements).

Data Processing Details

  • On-device biometric processing: Facial recognition and voice features are designed to process data on-device using libraries such as FSDK where feasible. Depending on your organization’s configuration, biometric templates or related data may be stored on-device and/or securely synchronized to enterprise systems to enable cross-device verification and administrative management.
  • Room/local storage: The App may cache data locally (e.g., Room database) to support offline or low-connectivity use. Cached data is synchronized with backend systems when connectivity is available, per organizational policy.
  • Network communications: Data transmitted between the App and servers is sent over encrypted channels (HTTPS/TLS) when supported by the network and backend.

Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell personal information. We may share information as follows:

  • Your organization/administrator: Data necessary to operate enterprise features, manage users, audit activity, and maintain records.
  • Service providers: Vendors that process data on our behalf (e.g., hosting, push messaging such as Google Firebase Cloud Messaging, analytics/diagnostics, secure file storage), subject to confidentiality and data processing agreements.
  • Legal and safety: To comply with laws, regulations, legal process, or enforceable governmental requests; to protect the rights, property, or safety of users, the public, or our company.
  • Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to continuing protections.

International Data Transfers

If data is transferred outside your jurisdiction, we implement appropriate safeguards (e.g., standard contractual clauses) where required by law.

Data Retention

We retain information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods may be defined by your organization’s policies. When data is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.

Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location and applicable laws, you may have rights to:

  • Access, correct, or delete your personal information.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Port your data.
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

Requests can be submitted to us at info@1topsystems.com. For enterprise deployments, some requests should be directed to your organization’s administrator, who controls the account and data.

Permissions Used by the App

The App may request the following Android permissions to provide features. You can control these permissions via your device settings and, where available, in-app settings.

  • Camera: capture images for identity verification, QR/barcode scanning, and documentation.
  • Microphone (Record Audio): capture voice for recognition or audio notes.
  • Location (Approximate and Precise; possibly Background): support location-based features such as attendance at specific sites, routes, and map views.
  • Storage/Photos and Media: save and upload photos, export/import files, cache offline data.
  • NFC/Bluetooth (if enabled): interact with NFC tags or Bluetooth devices for workflow steps.
  • Network access: communicate with backend services and receive push notifications.

Security

We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we continuously improve protections in line with industry standards.

Children’s Privacy

The App is intended for use by authorized employees/contractors. It is not directed to children under the age of 16 (or the age defined by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate consent.

Third-Party Services

The App may integrate with third-party services (e.g., Google Maps, Firebase Cloud Messaging, platform-specific SDKs) solely to provide functionality. These services may collect limited information as described in their own privacy notices. Your organization may also integrate enterprise services governed by their policies.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted within the App or in associated documentation, with the “Last updated” date revised. Material changes may be communicated via in-App notice or through your organization’s administrator.
